Luxury cars are some of the most desirable on the market. They are comfortable, stylish, and often expensive, but they offer levels of luxury that nothing else can match.
Making sure that the level of luxury is reliable is something many manufacturers strive for. What use is a luxury car if you don’t get many years of service out of it?
This list contains some of the best and most reliable luxury cars that money can buy. Many of these are new, but some you can also pick up second-hand.
Acura Integra
The revived Acura Integra is arguably one of the best modern luxury cars for sale right now, and it’s even better with the 320 horsepower Type S version. Currently, the Integra starts at $33,000.
The standard Integra’s power comes from the 1.5-liter VTEC turbocharged engine, which makes 200 horsepower. Beyond that, the Integra has an exceptional design, a gorgeous interior with comfortable seats, and one of the best infotainment systems from Honda/Acura.
Genesis G70
Hyundai’s luxury division, Genesis, is really beginning to make a name for itself now. Perhaps its most impressive current product is the G70, which currently retails for $420,000 MSRP.
Powering the base model is a 2.5-liter turbocharged powertrain producing 300 horsepower. However, there is also the option of the 3.3-liter engine that produces 365 horses, although that retails higher at $50,450.
2009-2014 Acura TL
Thanks to its parent company, Honda, Acura has always been able to produce reliable luxury cars. In 2009, it launched the Acura TL, a vehicle that represented quite the direction change for the American brand with its new, muscled styling and aggressive grille design.
Power came from a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 280 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. There was also the more powerful 3.7-liter V6 that produced 305 horses and 275 lb-ft of torque. Type TLs equipped with this engine would have the addition of Acura’s SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive).
2005-2011 Cadillac DTS
One of Cadillac’s staple products was the DeVille, with the American manufacturer retiring the nameplate in 2005. However, they continued building it under a new name, the DeVille Touring Sedan (DTS). Cadillac produced the DTS from 2005 to 2011, featuring Cadillac’s latest design language and offering a longer and broader car than its predecessor.
Power came from a 4.6-liter V8 engine that produced between 275 and 291 horsepower and 293 lb-ft of torque. The DTS was incredibly comfortable, and despite its considerable V8 power, cabin noise was at a minimum.
BMW 7 Series
Like it or hate it, BMW completely redesigned the 7 Series for 2023, and it’s indeed a bold-looking machine. That now trademarked prominent BMW grille is ever present, and the 7 Series looks much more aggressive than a luxury car needs to be.
But it is comfortable, fast, and has an updated infotainment system that is even more intuitive than the previous one. The base engine is the mighty 375 horsepower turbocharged inline-six, while there is also the option of a 483 horsepower inline-six and the 536 horsepower twin-turbocharged V8.
2024 Audi A6
Audi, like its German cousin BMW, knows a thing or two about luxurious yet reliable cars. Take the current Audi A6, for example. The turbocharged four-cylinder produces 261 horsepower, while the V6 option boosts that up to 355 horses.
But it isn’t just loud and proud. It has a well-equipped cabin with a dual-screen infotainment system, a high level of comfort, and excellent build quality. Plus, being an Audi, it should last a very long time.
Chevrolet C8 Corvette
The current Chevrolet C8 Corvette is proof that luxury can also come with performance. It is excellently designed, and the base LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine makes 490 horsepower, boosted to 670 horses in the formidable Z06.
Inside, the leather bucket seats are incredibly comfortable and snug. The intuitive infotainment system comes equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Plus, while it’s a loud and brash sports car, if you want to go on a long-distance cruise, the C8 Corvette can be quiet and civilized.
Acura TLX
The revived Integra isn’t the only weapon Acura has in its arsenal. If you don’t mind spending a little bit more on your luxury, then the Acura TLX might be the car for you. This premium sports sedan currently retails at $45,000 for the 272 horsepower 2.0-liter VTEC turbo version.
For those who want more power, there is the TLX Type S. This beast provides 355 horsepower thanks to its 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine. Inside, it is as comfortable and luxurious as you would expect, plus there is a touchpad-controlled infotainment system with its 10.2-inch HD display.
2024 Genesis G80
While the G70 is an exceptional vehicle, Genesis has a few more tricks up its sleeve. Enter the Genesis G80, a midsize luxury sedan that the company sees as a key rival to the BMW 5 Series. Plus, it’s not as expensive as its German counterpart, retailing at just $54,400 at the time of writing.
The G80 comes into its own with the 375 horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 under the hood, providing performance levels close to those of today’s sports cars. Naturally, the G80 is as luxurious as possible, thanks to its synthetic leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated steering wheel.
2024 Lexus ES Hybrid
Lexus, Toyota’s luxury division, knows a thing or two about comfort and luxury travel. The 2024 ES Hybrid is a fine example of this, plus it boasts the expected reliability we have come to know from the parent company.
A four-cylinder engine and two electric motors combine to produce 215 horsepower, which is plenty for a luxury vehicle that can also be used as a daily driver. The ES Hybrid is one of Lexus’s more subtle creations, but it is still a fine-looking luxury sedan.
